Banana cake
Recipe* 250g flour
* 200g butter /Margarine
* 200g granulated sugar
* 1 teaspoon baking powder
* 3 moderate sized riped bananas /250g mashed bananas
* 1 teaspoon baking soda
* 2 teaspoon banana flavour
* 5 medium sized eggs /250g of eggs
* 150ml liquid milk
* Desired quantity of browning but not too much (Optional)
Preparation
1. Preheat your oven for about 15 minutes at 150 degree Celsius.
2. Grease your baking pan with butter and dust lightly with flour, set aside. This will prevent the cake from sticking to the pan.
Method
1. Sieve flour twice, after sieving the flour for the first time, add your baking powder and baking soda into the flour and sieve for the second time and set aside.
2. Cut and mash the bananas inside 50ml of liquid milk with a fork.
3. In a mixer, add the sugar, butter or margarine, banana flavour and cream till its light and fluffy.
4.Gradually beat in the eggs till it incorporates well in the mixture.
5. Then add the flour into the mixture gradually.
6. Pour in the mashed bananas and the remaining 100ml of liquid milk and mix.
7.Add browning and mix, your batter is ready.
8. Pour the batter into your prepared pan and bake.
9. Your cake is ready when a skewer inserted into the cake comes out clean.
